The L's have it....

While searching for the music service……and player…..yes, I'm a little late to the digital music game.....I was finally going to take the high tech dive with and begin the bi-directional flow of money and music, I noticed something that at first was as disappointing as a kid finding a empty floor under the tree Christmas morning……but then fully and completely reaffirmed that Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever (and looking into my crystal ball I see a VH1 promo…..“Get the Led Out - Your weekly dose of the greatest rock and rock band Evar….. Friday, September 1, 3007”).

What was this tiny piece of musical data that made my week?   Simple, Led Zeppelin isn’t allowing the digital distribution (aka ala carte) of their works of art.  As I heard it rumored on the net…..meaning it is gospel…..they only want their music released in album format.

Robert didn’t need to sing a note, Jimmy didn’t need to strum a string in order to deliver this musical gift.

Thank you Led Zeppelin…..

Oh, you say, the title to this is the “L’s have it”….duh, I’m a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan…..and while I consider Led Zep the best band….Lynyrd Skynyrd is my favorite…..and they happen to be another great album band.

Sometimes I wonder where the great album bands have gone and why bands today don’t “do” albums……other times I am respectful of the concept of the “good ole days”.

Weekends with Motoart

Getting "out of Dodge" for a couple weekends I've found myself hanging out with Dave and Donovan down @ their facilities in Torrance.  Pictures speak thousands of words between the trip to the Mojave, meeting Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong fame, to just hanging out being a shop hand, there is never a dull moment with these guys!!!

More to come after their Mardi Gras party Saturday night....

Friends @ Motoart

Over the last year our team has had the pleasure of working with some incredible folks.....one group in particular has been an extreme pleasure to work with, Dave, Donovan, Max and team @ Motoart.  Take a look at the pics in the photo section.....the first one being the booth that they build for us to use at 2006 AirVenture....and other subsequent events.

When I have more time I'll post some shots of the making of that booth.  The amazing thing with the making of the booth was that we went from concept drawing to the booth being loaded on trucks to Oshkosh in only 3 weeks.  Quite an amazing feat to say the least.

More to come......

Boeing Stops by for show and tell

We are working with Boeing to use FSX as a sales tool in the Marketing efforts.   The mission in system in FSX allows them to showcase functionality of their planes in a very accurate and "real-time" fashion.

Jim Halvorson and Bill (I didn't get his last name) stopped by so Mike Singer could show off what he has put together to demo their RNP (Required Navigation Performance) approach technology.  Very cool stuff in that it saves time and fuel....not to mention given it is computer guided it is safer than RNAV and other more traditional approach methodologies.

We are looking forward to sharing some of these "missions" with the community in the very near future!!!

Installment #3 of RVZ SOM

#5 - “Things Goin’ On”

A song also off their first album….Ronnie sings……"there are things goin’ on that you don’t know”

There are "things"....

• you know and control

• you know and influence

Focus on those things as you can't worry about things out of your control....or things that you really don't know about.

Focus on things you can affect/influence and time will take care of everything else.

Just going to post one this evening, the next 2 go together....
